Voter registration fraud vs. vote suppression November 1, 2008

I know, I know. ACORN is evil and is filled with Communist thugs registering Mickey Mouse and Tony Romo. But, voter registration fraud and ACTUAL voter fraud are two separate things. I’m guessing Mickey and Tony will be staying home with Minne and Carrie Underwood this year.

Now, voter SUPPRESSION seems to be a whole other deal and this is where I get ticked off. I remember these stories specifically during the 2000 and 2004 elections. Why does it seem it’s mostly Republicans attempting to invalidate Democratic voters? I’m hearing reports from numerous states that state Republican parties are trying to essentially BLOCK certain sects of people from voting, which seems to be validated by the above link.

So, Michelle Malkin, whaddya say?

As usual, if you conservatives find instances where DEMOCRATS are doing things like this, then I implore them to put comments in the section and I’ll acknowledge!

Too easy. Just look at how Obama got elected in the FIRST place in Chicago! Case closed.

Do you remember, Mike, in 2000 when the Gore camp only wanted to count certain ballots? How they wanted to exclude military ballots?

Please. This is politics as practiced by both sides. Most of the instances in your link are just that and are silly to call “suppression.” (The going to people’s doors was beyond the pale, certainly.) What is wrong with the OH and PA examples? Hell, at this rate, why don’t we call ANY attempt to validate voting as “suppression?” Is that what you want, Mike?

Voter fraud – Auntie Zeitumi is an illegal.
Voter Suppression – As Barry points out – take the day off (if you do work); street money – abundant these days?? go figure? No “home adress” just list the grid where your tent is down by the Riverfront or your bench in Rodney Square; if all else fails, call Al Mascitti and he’ll drive you.

Voter fraud is much more difficult w/o registration fraud. Both parties claim they want clean elections which I find laughable. I would purge the voter roles completely after every presidential election. You would then be required to show up in person with ID to register again. We’d be using paper ballots and purple fingers like in Iraq.

“While Obama is busy fighting to get more felons in the voting booths, he refuses to cosponsor the “Military Voting Protection Act of 2008,” which is also currently pending in the U.S. Senate.”

Curious as to why you removed your post (formerly #8), Mike?

Voter suppression? Yes, I plead guilty as charged. I want to suppress the votes of non-citizens, (both legal and illegal aliens), convicted felons in states where they are not allowed to vote, the deceased, fraudulent voters who have registered several times, etc. That is so shabby and undemocratic of me.

You see, it’s just too easy! You guys are doing my homework for me! Thanks for the info.

#8 wasn’t Mike. It was me. Sometimes things get screwy because we all log on from the same IP address at the studio and I show up as Mike over here.

Our military is no better than the Hessians.
Fighting foreign wars.
Brain washed into believing in Patriotism.

Obama, … refuses to cosponsor the “Military Voting Protection Act of 2008,” which is also currently pending in the U.S. Senate.”

No surprise.

Now, is this the same “voter fraud” that Kowalko calls “voter fraud?” I’m asking, because he throws around that sexy term like it’s free candy.

“While Obama is busy fighting to get more felons in the voting booths,…”

No surprise there either.
