Does anyone else receive these odd voicemails? Something tells me he’s secretly a child molestor who lures his prey by offering McDonald’s hamburgers and KFC drumsticks every Sunday!

He is best buds with Derek Johnson, Pasta D. as they call him. Not a fan of either…Fanatics, phoney’s, bilkers…but, that’s just my opinion.
I get these voicemails as so several of my neighbors. The guy is a pest and scary as heck — trolling for people using fast food giveaways. We’ve been trying to find the guy (we are all on Do Not Call lists) to get off of the list AND to report him for trying to kill people with KFC.
…..they are reproducing!!!!! Run, hide, and keep your money hidden. Call the phone company or the feds and report the creepy robocalls.
I haven’t gotten any of these calls, but if it’s Pastor Steve Hare, he’s the guy in charge of Faith City over by Christiana Mall and the one who runs the local Christian pop music station Reach-FM 89.1. Should be easy enough to track down if it’s him.
I get those fucking calls every Saturday. They’re annoying! “This is Pastor Hare from Faith City wanting to tell you it’s Cheeseburger Sunday! … Look for the yellow bus between 2:00 and 2:30 and come join us for good fellowship, fun and games, and free McDonald’s!” Not only is his voice annoying, the last thing kids needs is KFC, McDonald’s and Taco Bell! They’re obviously not black cuz I’ve yet to hear anything about Soul Food Sunday cuz I’d drive there my damn self!
You are all very unfair to a man who is truly trying to share Christ’s love with the community. I bet not a single one of you have been to one of the service at Faith City and that all of you who have posted negative comments here have ever spoken with the man. You should really be ashamed of yourselves for slandering a man who has so positively impacted the lives of thousands of children. I hope you are truly blessed by God this Christmas, in spite of your hateful attitudes.

many ppl talk about never seeing where their money goes after they put it in the collection plate. Well he feeds the hungary and puts coats on the backs of cold ppl and leads ppl to the lord….. maybe if you were not so judgemental and took the time to look and see what he is all about, then you wouldnt leave these retarded comments about a topic you are completely ignorant to.
I used to go to Faith City when I was a kid. I lived in Pastor Steve’s neighborhood, and I specifically recall one day when he raised an exceptionally heavy offering from the church’s huge congregation. two days later, the bastard had a huge furniture truck parked outside his house. Think Christ would ever do such a thing? And bribing minds and souls with fast food is about the most disgusting thing I’ve heard. These people have no shame.
First you don’t judge unless you know the truth. just because he is a preacher doesn’t mean he doesn’t have money. try investing. how don’t you know when his dad died he didn’t leave him money.

People get furniture thats new sometimes, soooo what. get a job whoever is complaining. That is Steves FULL time job. What are you doing??? He was a GREAT impact to my life. The school was too. Mat God continue to bless who is FAITHFUL to HIM…………….
I love the work Paster Hare does, i no longer live in DE, I have never seen a church who loves their people and saves their lives, he does back pack for kids for school and winter coats and he also brings families to church all for free. All the negative on this site is sad. they need to be saved. He is trying to give kids a chance at life. Lets see these people who are complaining what are they doing for Christ, what are they doing for thier community?

They did Mike? Do you have quotes saying that Jim Jones gave out free coats and meals to the needy? I doubt it… seeing that people hardly need coats in San Francisco… or the jungles of Guyana for that matter.
I completely understand why people would be upset and frustrated by the automated calls and encourage people to register with the National Do Not Call registry at https://www.donotcall.gov/.
That would be much better than taking time to come on this blog and slander a good man’s name. To be fair I don’t know Steve Hare personally, but I know of the work he does in needy communities, including feeding and clothing people in need. Make fun of the McDonald’s and KFC all you want, but try feeding hundreds on your own dime every weekend and see how many affordable options are out there for you. This is what Faith City does with its money… not buy Steve Hare new furniture.
Although I don’t really like waking up early and sometimes the outbursts in a church makes me roll my eyes; as a teenager, this is the first pastor I really don’t mind listening to. He tells jokes, he comes up with clever one-liners and connects with the people. He’s honest; he’s just a good guy. Everyone has problems, and everyone may have done bad things, but when you’re spending the majority of your days caring and helping other people; you’re a good person. ESPECIALLY if you’re honest about being a sinner and what not. I’ve heard this man speak many Sundays, and I enjoy it; He isn’t a fanatic (what’s fanatic is the reception about the friggin’ Phillies if you ask me; who cares? Yankee till I die…LoL!) and he’s passionate about what he’s doing and what other people can help him do: which is change a person’s life with faith….”They tell me ‘GO steve! Help the poor, feed the hungry, preach the word!’; But I tell them ‘no; not unless you’re gonna help ME’”—That’s was a great quote!

Yeah, that’s right Mike Matthews… so much easier to bump your gums about someone you don’t know, right? By the way I’m still waiting on those quotes about Jim Jones giving away free coats.
He gave away a heckuva lot more than free coats during his days in San Francisco. Remember, in order to earn the trust of his sheep, he had to play the savior for a decade before he could get their trust to take them all to Guyana and give them the Kool-Aid!
Wow….these negative messages are so sad and frankly disturbing. Pastor Hare is a man of God who delivers a message that is appealing to people of all ages and all walks of life. Not sure of the state of mind of the folks who vehemently hate the man and minimize his efforts in the community. My question is what are you doing to help others? Perhaps you need to look in the mirror and check yourself before you attempt to discredit someone who is at least making an attempt to do good work.
